A letter that will never be sent

Dear Sir,

I am a small citizen of our great country called India. I am using “small” deliberately as the incident that happened with me last week has relised me that i am nothing but a very small citizen, whose request would never be listen by any government department .

To let you know the reason of my dissentment, i would like to brief you about my experience with your department. Last week, when i woke up in the morning i found that my bike was missing. After having initial round of enquiry with some people, i realised that my bike had been stolen. i was sad for a moment but as my bike was insured, it was not a complete disaster for me . i called the insurance agent and asked about the procedure for claiming back the amount. They asked me to submit a FIR of my lose. Due to my false impression about your organistion, I thought it would be a calk walk. So i went to respective police station and asked him to lodge the FIR. He listened to me patiently and advised me to come in the evening, meanwhile he would search the bike. If in case he finds the bike , then there is no need to lodge the FIR. i was happy with the respond and came back hope. I approached the station next day and enquired about the bike with station- in- charge. This time he was little bit impatience. he told me that at least i had to wait for 3 or 4 days and it would be better if i come later. i couldnt get it that why they were not lodging my FIR. After a few days i went to police station again, this time officer was absent .sub-staff told me that the inspector was on leave and he would come after 2 days . I beg your pardon for my words but i was completely pissed off. i was thinking that if in case police inspector is on leave then no one would lodge FIR? well .. without having any another option i went to police station again , this time he stated plainly that he would not lodge my FIR as it would impact his career growth .( as growth is life .. I think he would be a bit fan of reliance industry)

Now you tell me sir, what options do i have ?. i can complain against him but i am scared as i dont want to replicate ruchika sharma case with me . I know i can send a registered post to loge my FIR, but i even know that after getting the post , he will make my life hell. You tell me sir, what guarantee you can give that he wont make my life hell. I am not afraid of saying that police is supposed to give protection but in my society i want to get protection from the police. it is not only my perception but people at my area feel like same . if this is the progress we are feeling happy about, then sorry i dont want this progress. What is the use of 8.5% gdp, 64% literacy, hundreds of social schemes, FDI, FII . i used to think that India is gradually becoming an efficient country and corruption is only limited to past, but how foolish i was!!. In a society where a common doent feel secure, growth doesnt mean any thing. First time i am adorning Nepal king who tried to replace GDP with GNH( Gross national happiness).How relevant he was!!!

well.. what i am going to do Now. Without having any option in my side, i have lost hope of claiming the insurance policy . I dont have more works for my country . But
